Today we celebrate Father's day. When I got to work this morning, they had two boxes if donuts and when I asked for one, they said it was for all the father's in the place. So I asked, what's your definition of a father? Someone asked me, when you got up this morning, did your kids say happy father's day? And I said, no but they barked! They gave me two donuts for that!
I tried cooking ribs for the third time this year, and now I think I finally got it right. I made a broth of pork stock, garlic, salt, and black pepper, then I boiled the ribs in it for about 20 minutes. After that, I seasoned the ribs one by one with dried basil, and BBQ sauce (Costco brand) for another 30 minutes. Then I heated the grill to about 375 degrees, and off they went!
The secret was to keep the grill cover open, and take my time. All I had to do after that was brush extra BBQ sauce periodically until the ribs were done. When your ribs reach a temperature of 180 degrees on the center, you're probably good to serve.
Hopefully this helps on your next feeling adventures!
