Happy Father's day!

Today we celebrate Father's day. When I got to work this morning, they had two boxes if donuts and when I asked for one, they said it was for all the father's in the place. So I asked, what's your definition of a father? Someone asked me, when you got up this morning, did your kids say happy father's day? And I said, no but they barked! They gave me two donuts for that!

I tried cooking ribs for the third time this year, and now I think I finally got it right. I made a broth of pork stock, garlic, salt, and black pepper, then I boiled the ribs in it for about 20 minutes. After that, I seasoned the ribs one by one with dried basil, and BBQ sauce (Costco brand) for another 30 minutes. Then I heated the grill to about 375 degrees, and off they went!

The secret was to keep the grill cover open, and take my time. All I had to do after that was brush extra BBQ sauce periodically until the ribs were done. When your ribs reach a temperature of 180 degrees on the center, you're probably good to serve.

Hopefully this helps on your next feeling adventures!

Is criminal justice right for you?

A lot of students considering a civil service career think that a criminal justice degree is only good for being a law enforcement officer or, in combination with a legal degree, a criminal lawyer.

In today's world, being safe from crime has become a major concern. Criminals are getting smarter, sneakier, and in a lot of cases even more intelligent. This presents challenges to our law enforcement. We need to out-smart the criminal element. There are more and more criminal justice jobs available for those that want to get involved! Let's take a look at some of the hottest and fastest growing careers today.

Cruise to Bahamas

Our cruise to the Bahamas was great! Lots of sun, water, and adventure. We went on boat tours, to the beach, and made a pit stop in florida, so we could go to the everglades. When we got there, we took a air boat, that brought us 30 minutes into the everglades. We saw alligators, birds, and more, we also got to try alligator meat! In the Bahamas, we went exploring in nassau, went for a submarine tour, and more. Now, its back qt work. Catching up, and getting ready for another trip.

The Charlie Sheen song - Must see

Poor Charlie, went from being a great actor, to a poor bastard. I actually like the guy, so to see him destroying his career like this, makes me sad a little. Click the box below to see the video.

Another day

Hello all. I had a pretty slow weekend, with a nice end. The Celts won, by a lot. It's always good to see them winning by a lot when coming from a loss. The bench did great, keeping up with the main team in every quarter.

Anyways, tomorrow will be the beginning of a pretty busy week. I'm starting a big project that I can't really mention right now, but it should be really fun. Also, 18 more days for our trip to Nassau. I can't wait.

Hope you have have a great weekend.

Celtics fun fact

The Boston Celtics lost another one tonight,  this time agaisnt the 76rs. Even with a loss, new player Krstic did a great job. Here is a little fun fact about him.

He is married with Tanja and has one daughter. Krstić, whose nickname is "Curly", was voted the 3rd most eligible bachelor by Serbia's version of People magazine. On August 19, 2010, in a game against Greece for the Acropolis Tournament, he participated in a fight between players and threw a chair against the Greek Center -Forward Giannis Bourousis. That resulted in his spending the night at the Police Station, from where he was finally released the day after.

Just a little fun fact.
